Native Plantings

Part of restoring ecosystems and increasing biodiversity includes planting native plants. We offer the following services.

  • Seeding can be a great way to get native species re-established at your site. Whether it is a recently disturbed area, septic field, lawn, rocky bald etc, seeding out a mix of fast growing annuals along with slower growing perennials can create a beautiful, diverse site as well as pollinator habitat and food.

  • Plug plantings are several month-years old plants that are more weather and pest tolerant than seedlings and can be used in meadow and forest restoration, as well at utilized as pollinator plants in your garden and home landscape.

Supplies may be limited and seasonal.

  • Bare roots can be a quick and useful way to restore habitat. They can be used to shade riparian areas, add bird habitat in the form of a hedge or screening, or for decorative landscaping to your property.
